What You'll Do

As a Cook, you'll prepare nutritious, appetizing meals while ensuring the highest standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and cooking meals according to standardized recipes, production schedules, and therapeutic diet requirements
• Ensuring food is prepared, portioned, and presented with quality and consistency
• Monitoring and documenting food temperatures to maintain food safety standards
• Receiving, storing, rotating, and managing food inventory using FIFO guidelines
• Maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas
• Assisting with patient meal service and cafeteria food production as needed
• Collaborating with dietary staff to ensure timely meal preparation and exceptional customer service
• Following all food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and regulatory guidelines

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Food Handler Certification required within 7 days of hire
• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, school, or institutional setting preferred
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
• Ability to prepare meals in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
