Job summary

Out West Restaurant Group, the largest Outback Steakhouse franchisee in the United States, is hiring an Outbacker to support a fast-paced kitchen. You’ll prepare diverse menu items, maintain cleanliness, and work with a collaborative team to ensure timely, high-quality food delivery.

• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items with speed and accuracy.
• Kitchen is designed with large working areas; Line Cook roles in Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill, Make Up and Kitchen Prep Cooks.
• Maintain equipment and keep surroundings clean in the kitchen.
• Work as a team to meet standards in preparation and delivery of food items.
• Prepare food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe standards.
• Restock kitchen and cook line as needed.
• Commit to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards.
• Demonstrate teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the preparation of food items. We have a diverse menu that requires speed and accurate preparation, and you should feel proud of each item you prepare.
• Our Kitchen is well designed with large working areas. We have Line Cook positions in Salad, Fry, Sauté, Grill and Make Up, along with Kitchen Prep Cooks.
• Responsible for maintaining equipment and the cleanliness of your surroundings in the kitchen.
• Working as a team to achieve standards in preparation and delivery of food items.
• Prepares food with proper safety equipment, tools, and recipe standards.
• Restocks kitchen and cook line as needed.
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, job safety and sanitation standards.
• Demonstrates teamwork by supporting all areas of the restaurant as business needs arise. Teamwork is essential and expected of all Outbackers.
