Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to join our senior living community team. You will ensure timely, friendly dining service, maintain sanitation and safety, read and follow recipes, and assist with stock rotation with the Food Service Director.

Minimum qualifications include at least one year of cooking experience and Serv-Safe certification (or willingness to obtain on hire). Strong communication and teamwork are essential to meet resident dining expectations and high quality meal

About the Opportunity

Ensures efficient, timely, and friendly service to all residents and staff. Maintains proper sanitation and safety procedures and high quality food preparation and presentation. Orders, receives, and rotates stock in conjunction with the Food Service Director. Reads and follows recipes to ensure consistency of the product. Prepares and serves food items for breakfast, lunch or dinner as assigned. Assists with meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations. Is knowledgeable in food preparation techniques and presentation. Other relevant duties may be required or assigned by Supervisor.

• Willingness to learn new food preparation techniques and presentation.
• Knowledge of special dietary needs of residents and the required meal prep techniques.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of cooking experience (some short order cooking) and quantity cooking.
• Must possess Serv-Safe certification, or willing to obtain upon hire.
