Job summary

The Cook position in Fort Wayne, IN is responsible for preparing meals in compliance with federal, state, and local standards, and with our policies and procedures. The role includes working with the Dietitian and other staff to ensure quality food service at all times.

The candidate should have 1 year of dietary/food experience and a State Food Service Sanitation certification, with ability to read, speak, and write English clearly and work independently in a team of residents and staff.

Qualifications

• One (1) year dietary/food experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred but not required.
• Must have State Food Service Sanitation certification.
• Must be able to read, speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
• Must function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with the residents, personnel, and support agencies.
