About the Position: The position is located at the dinning facility in Martin Army Community Hospital within Nutrition Care Division at, Fort Benning, GA. The position is a fast-paced and customer-focused environment dedicated to providing quality food service. The work environment is dynamic, requiring attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in a high-traffic area. Major Duties

Works alone or with a higher-grade cook, prepares and cooks a variety of simple menu items that require little or no processing such as pancakes, sausage, eggs, hamburgers, and fresh or canned vegetables.Prepares raw fruit and vegetable ingredients as well as completed salads, sandwiches and sandwich fillings.Prepares food by peeling, chopping, grinding, parting, cutting, slicing, dicing, pureeing, dredging, flouring or breading. Weighs, measures, and assembles ingredients for regular and modified menu items.Sets up and serves hot food on cafeteria and patient tray lines.Operates/maintains and cleans equipment and work areas in sanitary conditionsDisassembles, cleans and reassembles equipment.Sweeps and mops floors; washes utensils, equipment, tables, food warmers and refrigerators; cleans ovens, ranges and other food service equipment.
