Job description

Overview

We have several openings for full-time COOK positions.

Location: Cleveland Clinic - Euclid, 18901 Lakeshore Blvd, Euclid, OH 44119. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; some evenings, weekends and holidays. Shifts: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM.

Requirement: Prior professional cooking experience required.

Pay Range: $16.00 per hour to $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food in accordance with standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty. Tastes all prepared items.
• Uses established ticket procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked during service periods.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness; stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensures proper storage of food and supplies.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attends in-service and safety meetings; maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
• Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment; follows HACCP standards for proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Abides by all company policies and procedures related to gloves, oven mitts, and protective footwear; uses proper lifting techniques.
