Villaspring of Erlanger is seeking a Part Time Cook to prepare and serve meals for residents in our skilled nursing facility. Follow the approved menu, use recipes, and support dietary staff with related duties.

The role requires adherence to therapeutic diet requirements, accurate portioning, and maintaining clean work areas. Competitive pay ranges with benefits are offered for experienced candidates.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and following written and oral directions.
• Ability to cooperate with supervisors, co-workers and other departments.
• Ability to follow recipes and menus, especially therapeutic diets.
• Ability to work under pressure at peak periods.
• Basic knowledge of quantity food preparation and cooking.
• Ability to estimate relative quantities of food per written recipes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and cooks the residents’ food.
• Ensures the food is prepared correctly and at the appropriate quantity as ordered.
• Maintains clean working environments ensuring guidelines for food handling are followed.
• Assists with the Food Service Assistant position by serving food and cleaning tables.
• Completes other assigned duties when not cooking/preparing food.
• Follows health regulations by the public health department.

Description

Facility is currently looking for Part Time Cook. Come join our team as a Cook in our state of the art skilled nursing facility. The cook prepares food in quantities enough for patient meals, including special foods as necessary for therapeutic diets. The cook will follow the prepared menu as written, utilizing recipes and production instructions. In addition, the cook will assist as needed with cleaning and serving of meals. The cook may also be assigned related tasks and duties by the dietary supervisor or Executive Chef.

$13.75 to $23.00 an hour, depending on certifications and experience!

RESPONSIBILITIES:
