Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. in Elkton, MD is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long‑term care facility. You will ensure meals meet planned menus, taste great, and present appealingly.

The role requires adherence to food safety, sanitation, and inventory tasks; you will interact kindly with residents and staff. A high school diploma is required; prior cooking experience and ServSafe or Food Handler certification are preferred; must be able to lift up to 50

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks and work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required

Offered salary rates for this position are determined based on applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the specific needs, aspects, operational considerations, and requirements of the facility serviced.
