Job summary

Elegance in Delray Beach is seeking a Full Time Food Service Associate to support the Director, Food Service with planning, directing, controlling, communicating and coaching within the department.

You will respond to resident likes and dislikes to maintain high satisfaction, ensure food is prepared safely, monitor temperatures, and keep the dining area clean. You will circulate in the dining room to gauge resident feedback and promote teamwork among staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service or dining operations is preferred.
• Ability to maintain high resident satisfaction through service quality and responsiveness.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director, Food Service with planning, directing, and coaching in the Food Service Department.
• Respond to resident likes and dislikes to maintain high resident satisfaction.
• Ensure foods are prepared and served in accordance with safe food handling practices.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and time controls for storage, production, and serving.

Job description

This is a Full Time Position, and the pay is $22 an hour.

• Support the Director, Food Service with planning, directing, controlling, communicating, and coaching in the Food Service Department.
• Respond to resident likes and dislikes maintaining high resident satisfaction. Ensure that all foods are prepared to satisfaction of residents and in accordance with safe food handling practices.
• Maintain food temperatures and time controls during storage, production, and serving according to required food safety standards.
• Circulate in the dining room to ascertain resident preferences and satisfaction with meals.
• Maintain a clean kitchen and dining area.
• Foster teamwork with co-workers, show initiative in overcoming obstacles, take actions to assist others beyond job responsibilities, and have a positive impact on co-workers, residents, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
