Job summary

Senior Solutions Management Group is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our senior living communities in Dawsonville, GA. You will prepare meals for regular and therapeutic diets, following the planned menu and safety policies.

Responsibilities include maintaining food temperatures, labeling and storing food, and ensuring meals are served attractively and on schedule. ServSafe certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the planned menu.
• Follow proper food handling and food safety techniques according to established policies and regulations.
• Ensure that the proper quantity of food is prepared.
• Prepare food for special events as instructed by the supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and uncluttered during preparation and service of food.
• Taste prepared food to ensure quality taste and palatability prior to service.
• Maintain the proper temperature of food during preparation and service.
• Record temperatures of food according to established policy.
• Ensure that the food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner.
• Ensure that meals are sent from the kitchen or serving area according to established time schedules.
• Properly label, date and store food according to established policies.
• Ensure that refrigerator/freezer temperatures are within the appropriate range.
• Wash pots, pans, serving utensils, etc. according to established procedures.
• Make recommendations regarding improvements in recipes, menus, production and service of food, equipment, etc.
