Job Description

Forefront Healthcare has partnered with Maria Joseph to provide Culinary support and our team is seeking Part-Time Cooks to elevate the dining experience for residents. If you have a passion for cooking and want to make a meaningful impact every day, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious and appetizing meals for residents while following established recipes, food safety standards, and portion control procedures. This role requires the ability to work in a high-pressure environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare meals according to planned menus and standardized recipes.
  • Serve food following established portion control procedures.
  • Ensure food is cooked at proper temperatures and complete required checklists and logs.
  • Assist with inventory management and receiving deliveries.
  • Work with the Executive Chef/Chef Manager to coordinate menus and special requests.
  • Adapt schedule when necessary to accommodate urgent situations.
  • Follow all safe food handling procedures, including proper glove use.
  • Perform daily and scheduled cleaning tasks according to company policies.
  • Adhere to therapeutic and mechanically altered diet guidelines as required.
