Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment.

This role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and comply with dietary restrictions and vaccination policies. Prior kitchen experience and ServSafe/food handler certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintenance of a positive attitude and strong communication with building occupants, administration, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as per state/county law.

• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
