Job Description: A cook is responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

The job is simple:

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete all required training
  • Adhere to all standard operating procedures and property-specific brand standards
  • Provide personalized, friendly service to each guest
  • Knowledge of fundamental principles and procedures of food preparation, short orders, and banquet food service
  • Implement the highest hygiene policies and examine daily the work areas and equipment cleanliness
  • Follow established recipes to ensure quality
  • Optimize productivity by executing the daily food prep plan
  • Obtain feedback on food and service quality, and resolve customer problems and complaints
  • Practice safe and sanitary work habits
  • Ensure compliance with regulations/requirements
  • This position involves working in high-heat environments and with chemicals
  • Perform safety checks and work with maintenance teams to ensure equipment safety
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management

Necessary Skills:

  • Maintain confidentiality of business functions
  • Responsible for safety and security
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems and evacuation procedures
  • Effective communication skills
  • Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
