Job summary

Knott's Berry Farm is seeking a Cook to prepare meals, handle various kitchen tasks, and provide guest service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include food preparation, cleaning, stock management, and adhering to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Previous Cook experience preferred, demonstrating ability to assist in kitchen operations.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, food preparation instructions, and production guidelines.
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English for effective communication.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays and peak seasons to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs cooking and food preparation techniques: sanitizing, grilling, broiling, frying, cutting, weighing, measuring, chopping, baking, sautéing.
• Stocks and maintains order in walk-ins, refrigerators, and dry storage areas.
• Completes daily opening and closing cleaning procedures in the kitchen.
• Provides guest service according to Six Flags standards when serving guests or working with team members.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area per Six Flags guidelines and reports unsafe conditions.
• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Adheres to attendance policies and rules of conduct as outlined in employee guidelines.
• Follows costuming and grooming standards per park policies.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Our Cooks are responsible for preparation of meals such as cleaning and chopping vegetables, putting together entrees, use of basic equipment such as a fryer, grill, and other various kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
• Meets Six Flags' attendance requirements as outlined in Six Flags' attendance policies.
• Adheres to Six Flags' Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
