Job summary

Alliance Health at Braintree is seeking a Part-Time Cook to join our team on every other weekend shift, 11:00 am to 7:30 pm. The role supports meal preparation, dietary standards, and safe food handling in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Braintree, MA.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED, up to 1 year in a healthcare kitchen, good communication with residents and staff, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. COVID-19 vaccination is required; Serve Safe is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Prefer 1 year of healthcare cooking experience but training will be provided.
• Good communication with Residents and staff is essential.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and comply with safety standards.
• Serve Safe certification preferred; COVID-19 vaccination required/boosted.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and ensure food is received, stored, and prepared according to dietary standards.
• Maintain kitchen and storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition.
• Open or close the kitchen as assigned.
• Follow cleaning schedules and regulatory food safety practices.
• Document temperatures of food prior to service and during storage.
• Assist with events and theme meals preparation.
• Assist in supervision of dietary staff.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Tired of the restaurant grind with no benefits, then Alliance Health at Braintree is looking for you to join our team as a {Part-Time Cook.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal preparation and ensure food is received, stored, and prepared according to dietary standards
• Maintain kitchen, food storage and preparation areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition always.
• Responsible for opening or closing the kitchen
• Adhere to cleaning schedules and regulatory food safety standards and practices
• Document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration, and freezer
• Assist with preparation and execution of special events and theme meals
• Assists in supervision of dietary staff.
• Preform other duties as needed and assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prefer 1 Year of Experience as a Cook in a healthcare setting, but will train the right candidate
• Effective communication skills and ability to interact with Residents and staff
• Able to Lift 50 pounds
• Serve Safe Certified preferred
• Must be COVID-19 fully vaccinated and boosted
