The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare a variety of foods for a correctional facility. You will follow the operational menu plan, ensuring proper recipes and production records. You will train detainee food service staff and supervise timely preparation and service while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
You will also manage orders, inventory, and coordination with management to meet population needs, with emphasis on quality and consistency in a demanding environment.

Summary: The Cook, under general supervision, prepares large quantities of a variety of food including meats, fish, poultry, gravies, cereals, soups, vegetables and other foods. Uses various methods of cooking and seasoning and adheres to proper preparation methods. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
