Job summary

Taher, Inc. is seeking a kitchen team member to cook with us during Monday through Friday daytime hours. No nights or weekends, with guaranteed hours and opportunities to grow within a chef-driven food service company.

As part of our team, you will follow recipes, maintain food safety standards, and provide the highest quality guest service. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while supporting daily lunch service.

Qualifications

• 2 years' previous food service experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt and change in a fast paced environment.
• Good teamwork approach to daily tasks.
• Do simple arithmetic.
• Able to follow oral and written directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest quality of guest service at all times.
• Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure smooth service period.
• Execute recipes to the letter and assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to recipe specifications.
• Follows all food safety and sanitation standards.
• Follows and completes production sheets.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Meet deadlines in completion of daily workload.
• Set up and tear down of workstation.
• Polite and professional communication style.
• Understands and utilizes FIFO.
• Performs other related duties as requested by the leadership team.
