Job summary

Atria Senior Living in Austin, TX is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen team and prepare meals for residents in a welcoming, restaurant-style setting.

You will read recipes, follow guidelines, maintain a clean kitchen, and collaborate with staff to deliver nourishing meals. Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED and 1–3 years of cook experience in hospitality or healthcare.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years experience as a cook in hospitality or healthcare.
• Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards.
• Ability to read and follow recipes, guides, cleaning schedules and logs.

Responsibilities

• Join the kitchen staff in preparing and cooking food for residents.
• Build positive relationships with residents, employees and coworkers.
• Understand that dining in a restaurant-style atmosphere can be the highlight of residents’ day.
• Maintain the kitchen in a clean, safe and sanitary condition at all times.

The wage range for this position is $20.00/hr - $24.00/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
