Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow menus and recipes, ensure quality and presentation, and maintain kitchen safety and cleanliness.

The role emphasizes positive interaction with residents and staff, inventory support, and adherence to dietary requirements. Prior food prep experience is preferred and ServSafe certification may be required by state regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with occupants and leadership.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.
• Must lift/push up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• May require sanitation/safety course completion.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.

Responsibilities

• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
