Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will follow planned menus and recipes while maintaining high quality, taste, and presentation to meet HCSG standards.

The role emphasizes safe food handling, customer service, and collaboration with staff and residents. Candidates should have a high school diploma and prefer prior food preparation experience; certification requirements depend on state/county law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook or food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Positive attitude and clear communication with residents, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policy.
• Must lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required
