Hotel/Restaurant/Industrial Cooking experience required (~3 to 5 years).

Summary: The Cook assists in preparing and cooking daily meals for dementia residents within an assisted living community, ensuring compliance with health standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing basic food items.
  • Manage supplies, wash dishes, and maintain sanitation standards.
  • Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversations.
  • Coordinate with medical and dietary staff to meet residents’ dietary needs.
  • Follow all sanitation and infection control procedures.
  • Serve as backup in the absence of the Lead Cook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; 0-6 months related experience or equivalent.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • Availability for weekend work and on-call as needed.
