PeopleReady, Inc. in Asheville, NC is hiring Cooks to join a high-volume kitchen. You will prepare meals, sauté, grill, fry, and assemble dishes in a fast-paced environment, following food safety guidelines and recipes.

We offer 2nd shift with evening hours and weekends. Applicants must be 18+, with reliability and a willingness to learn. Training is provided and benefits may be available.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience in a high-volume institutional environment preferred.
• Good knife skills and knowledge of food preparation.
• Able to work all areas of the kitchen and stand for long periods.
• Reliability and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in a large volume establishment.
• Sauté, grill, fry, and cook ingredients following safety guidelines.
• Chop, slice, and wash fruits and vegetables; make salads and desserts.
• Assist with catering orders and prepare trays for customers.
• Clean the kitchen area, take out trash, mop floors, and wipe dining areas as needed.
