Job summary

Community Action Corporation of South Texas is seeking staff to prepare and package meals according to approved menus, keeping the kitchen and storage areas clean and well organized. You may assist with meal delivery and stock management while maintaining accurate temperature records and following safety standards.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and be able to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Must have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, be eligible for coverage in the operation of Agency vehicles and be able to pass a criminal history background check.

General Summary

Education/Certifications/Licensure

Physical Requirements

If a preliminary offer of employment is extended, a physical will be required before the offer can be accepted.

Medium to heavy physical duties include standing, walking, reaching, bending, hearing, talking for up to (8) hours a day. Must be able to lift forty (40) pounds. Lifting, on-premises and off-premises will primarily be of food and food containers with raw and prepared food, bulk food packages and consumable supplies. Industrial back supports will be used. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical examination.
