Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality meals and supporting a positive dining experience for residents and staff.

Responsibilities include following recipes and menus, ensuring food safety and sanitation, working with the team, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen while meeting dietary requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous cook/food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and accommodate dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lifts/carries up to 50 pounds, stands/sits/bends/walks for extended periods.
• Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• May require sanitation and safety course completion.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Pay Rate

USD $22.00 - USD $26.00 /Hr.

• Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
• Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
• May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required based on State / County law.
• Residency within the service area required

Offered salary rates for this position are determined based on applicant qualifications, experience, education, and the specific needs, aspects, operational considerations, and requirements of the facility serviced.
