Job summary

Phoebe Ministries Allentown is seeking a Cook for the Allentown, PA campus to prepare meals for residents and transport to serving areas, following recipes and daily production sheets. The role requires strong teamwork and a commitment to food safety, with duties that include preparing café menu specials and coordinating meal distribution.

Qualifications

• Deliver excellent customer service to residents, families, and coworkers.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience and/or training in food production and service.
• Must be Serve-Safe certified or become Serve-Safe certified within probationary hire period.

Responsibilities

• Produce all required menu items per production systems for transport to serving pantry and café lines.
• Follow set recipes and daily production worksheets; coordinate distribution into hot and cold transport units for meals at set times.
• Prepare café menu specials; maintain a clean and sanitary work environment and ensure food safety regulations are met.

Responsibilities for a Cook with Phoebe Allentown:

Responsible to produce all required menu items, per production systems, for preparation to transport to multiple serving pantry’s and café serving line. Performs culinary duties in main production kitchen. Follows set recipes and daily production worksheets. Coordinates the distribution of the prepared menu items into the hot and cold transport units for each meal at set times. Prepares café menu specials. Performs all duties while maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. Consistently meets food safety regulations while handling all food products and food storage.
