Competitive Pay

Hourly Positions:

  • Florida: $13 - $18 per hour (rate varies by location, position, and experience)
  • Other Southeastern Markets: $10 - $16 per hour (rate varies by state, location, position, and experience)

Essential Duties (may include, but not limited to):

  • Ability to cook
  • Memorize and apply all Sonny's-specialized BOH terminology, plating, menu items, procedures, utensils, abbreviations, and methodologies.
  • Navigate around equipment
  • Manage the grill fully
  • Work with frying equipment and bread grill
  • Read orders and follow protocols to process orders according to the KDS
  • Maintain a clean work station
  • Adhere to sanitary and food preparation guidelines
  • Perform cleaning duties throughout and at the end of the shift
  • Use a meat slicer
  • Work with sharp knives
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Good time management skills
  • Process cash and credit transactions
  • Dependable with a flexible schedule
  • Complete ongoing training or certification programs as required

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience and/or training in the restaurant industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills
  • Ability to lift up to 90 pounds repeatedly
  • Work in wet/humid conditions and with cleaning chemicals, frequent hand washing

Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Stand for prolonged periods
  • Handle food products and equipment
  • Communicate effectively with team members and guests
  • Work involves walking, standing, bending, lifting, reaching, crouching, touching, tasting, talking, hearing, wiping, smelling
  • Fast-paced environment with constant movement and interaction
  • Lift/move up to 90 pounds frequently
  • Work near moving mechanical parts, in wet/humid conditions, with chemicals
  • Perform essential functions for up to an 8-hour shift
