Job summary

Sagora Senior Living Lyndale Abilene is seeking a friendly cook to prepare high‑quality meals for residents across independent, assisted living and memory care settings. You will work in a fast‑paced team, ensure timely service, and uphold sanitation standards in a compassionate, resident‑first environment.

The role requires at least one year in a commercial kitchen, plus ServSafe Certification and a valid Food Handler’s permit.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
• ServSafe Certification and Food Handler’s Permit are required by state and local authorities.

Responsibilities

• Cook à la carte items.
• Monitor stock.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas.
• Assist with training of all Culinary team members.
• Follow established methods of meal preparation and presentation.
• Serve meals to residents promptly and in a friendly and courteous manner.
