Job summary

gpac, partnering with a community bank in Fairfield County, CT, seeks a Chief Operating Officer to provide strategic and operational leadership across all departments.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in community banking, a finance or business degree, and proven ability to drive lending profitability, risk management, and regulatory compliance. This is an onsite, senior leadership role in the bank’s home region.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of management experience in a community bank setting.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong operations skills/experience.
• Must reside in the Fairfield County, CT area. This is an onsite position.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership to all departments within the bank.
• Develop and implement lending strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the compliance and loan operations departments.
• Collaborate with executive management to set company goals and objectives.
• Monitor loan portfolio performance and make necessary adjustments to achieve financial targets.
• Ability to be very hands-on. Expectation will be to roll up your sleeves and help the team when needed.
