Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc Supply Chain is seeking a Conveyor Technician III in Tracy, CA. The role focuses on maintenance of automation, MHE, and facility systems within a large distribution network.

This onsite position requires strong technical skills, safety mindset, and the ability to work a 24/7 operation schedule. Responsibilities include repairs, CMMS usage, inventory tracking, and collaboration across departments to improve reliability and performance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 10 years of experience working in maintenance or related trades

  • Flexibility with work hours and days (24/7 operation)
  • Ability to drive Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT)
  • WSI certification may be required

Responsibilities

  • Repair and improve automation, MHE, buildings and infrastructure
  • Use a CMMS (work order) system
  • Communicate effectively verbally, in writing and by email
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
  • Maintain safety and awareness on site
  • Troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues with available resources
  • Gather materials to complete repairs/work orders
  • Track and store inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment

  • Repair and make improvements to automation, MHE, building and infrastructure

  • Use a CMMS (work order) system

  • Be able to drive (PID) Powered Industrial Trucks inclusive of people movers and forklifts.

    • Be required to take WSI certification and pass



  • Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on‑site

    • Material Handling systems

    • Robotics systems

    • Personalization equipment and systems

    • Electrical knowledge including controls

    • Lighting both interior and exterior

    • Maintain all rack and guard railing

    • Plumbing

    • Welding

    • Carpentry

    • Pneumatic systems



  • Perform preventative maintenance task using tools and equipment

  • Assist other Maintenance Technicians repairing and maintaining facilities and systems

  • Perform battery changes, and preventive maintenance on batteries

  • Understand of how equipment, machines, and systems work and the ways to keep them running efficiently

  • Have a keen eye and attention to detail to identify small issues within the large system

  • Have the skills to be organized and prioritize the tasks in alignment with company goals

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces
