Skillforce is hiring an experienced Conveyor Millwright to perform mechanical installation, assembly, maintenance, repair, and alignment of conveyor systems. The ideal candidate is a skilled, hands-on millwright with a strong aptitude for working with tools and at least five years of experience installing and maintaining conveyor systems.
Pay: up to $32, depending on experience and skillset
Shift: 1 st shift, 40-45 hours a week
- Install, assemble, maintain, repair, and modify conveyor systems and related mechanical equipment.
- Perform conveyor installation, including frames, supports, rollers, pulleys, belts, drives, motors, gearboxes, and other components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, and installation specifications.
- Perform mechanical layout, measurements, leveling, and equipment alignment.
- Align conveyor components, shafts, pulleys, bearings, motors, gearboxes, and other rotating equipment.
- Install and align bearings, couplings, sprockets, chains, belts, and drive systems.
- Perform rigging, lifting, and positioning of heavy mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify causes of equipment failures.
- Disassemble, repair, replace, and reassemble mechanical components as needed.
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring tools, and mechanical equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication as required.
- Work closely with foremen, superintendents, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation activities.
Conveyor Millwright Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Millwright, must have experience with conveyor installation or maintenance
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills and ability to work with tools
- Experience installing, aligning, and troubleshooting conveyor systems
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and blueprints
- Knowledge of bearings, gearboxes, motors, belts, chains, pulleys, couplings, and conveyor drives
- Experience with mechanical alignment and precision measurements
- Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred
- Ability to work at heights and in industrial/construction environments
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices
- Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime as needed
