Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Level 1 Utility Worker in Michigan to support the maintenance team by operating conveyors, assisting mechanics, and performing general cleaning and parts rebuilding. This role requires flexibility for holidays, weekends, and overtime to meet production needs.

The successful candidate will have a High School diploma/GED, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, with an emphasis on teamwork and safety across shift schedules.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associates degree in a technical or related field preferred.
• Ability to lift 70 lbs.
• Must have computer skills.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Self-starter with problem solving skills.
• Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operation of the conveyor.
• Lockout/Tag out certification.
• Perform conveyor sanitation and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist mechanics as needed.
• Must have good communication skills to work as a team.
• Must follow proper safety guidelines.
• Practices 200% safety accountability (self and others).
• Perform other duties as required under immediate supervision.
• Must be able to work in hot and cold environments.
