Job summary

Viacore is seeking a Belt Conveyor Technician to join our field team. You will install, splice, maintain, and troubleshoot conveyor systems in industrial settings, with travel to job sites and occasional long hours.

This hands-on role requires comfort with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components, high-voltage safety, and clear communication with customers. Physical work in mining or bulk material handling environments is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in belt conveyor splicing or industrial conveyor maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude; electrical and hydraulic knowledge preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve under pressure.
• Comfortable working at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform conveyor belt splicing (hot, cold, and mechanical) and belt installations.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems and related equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Work safely around high-voltage systems and heavy machinery.
• Read and interpret work scopes, drawings, and job specifications.
• Provide professional, customer-focused service at job sites.
• Travel to customer locations and work extended or irregular hours as required.
