Job summary

Kimball Equipment Company is seeking a motivated Conveyor Belt Technician to join our team. This hands-on role covers installation, splicing, repair and maintenance of conveyor belt systems at customer sites and in our shop, with travel required across the Western United States.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and able to lift 50 lbs, operate hand and power tools, and work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills.

• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform conveyor belt splicing, vulcanizing, and repairs on various belt systems.
• Install, inspect, and maintain conveyor belts and related components.
• Travel to customer job sites to perform field service work.
• Troubleshoot belt-related issues and recommend repair solutions.
• Ensure work is completed safely and to standards.
• Document service visits, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Assist with shop fabrication and belt preparation as needed.

Job description

Kimball Equipment Company, a leader in the aggregate and mining equipment industry since 1946, is seeking a motivated Conveyor Belt Technician to join our growing team. This hands-on position is responsible for the installation, splicing, repair, and maintenance of conveyor belt systems at both customer job sites and in our shop. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with travel and physical demands. This role plays a critical part in delivering the high level of service and reliability Kimball Equipment is known for across the Western United States.

Responsibilities:

• Perform conveyor belt splicing, vulcanizing, and repairs on a variety of conveyor belt systems
• Install, inspect, and maintain conveyor belts and related components
• Travel to customer job sites to perform field service work
• Troubleshoot belt-related issues and recommend repair solutions
• Ensure all work is completed safely and according to company and industry standards
• Organize and document service visits, repairs, and maintenance activities
• Assist with shop fabrication and belt preparation as needed

Qualifications:

• Previous conveyor belt vulcanizing, splicing, or industrial maintenance experience preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand and power tools
• Ability to handle physical workload in various weather conditions
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime as required
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work assignments
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Valid driver's license required
• CDL or ability to obtain a CDL preferred
