Job summary

UPS is seeking a Conveyor Belt Maintenance Mechanic to maintain an automated conveyor system in a fast-paced facility. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical components to ensure safe, on-time package flow, while following PPE and safety policies.

The role requires physical stamina and the ability to work Tuesday–Saturday from 2pm to 10:30pm; entry-level to mid-level candidates with mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical aptitude and basic electrical knowledge.
• Able to read and interpret schematics and layout drawings.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and manipulate heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain UPS conveyor and automated rack retrieval equipment, incl. sorters, belts, motors, drives, sensors, and scanners.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues affecting material-handling systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments per UPS BaSE standards.
• Follow all UPS safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.

Entry level role requiring **mechanical aptitude** and **basic electrical knowledge** to safely operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain powered equipment and vehicles, as well as the ability to lift, push, pull, and manipulate equipment and packages of significant weight.
