Job summary

Forbo Movement Systems in California is seeking a Conveyor Belt Fabricator to fabricate, install and repair lightweight belts using a variety of hand tools and light equipment. The role covers shop-focused work (majority) with occasional field service on-site.

You will measure, cut, splice, inspect and ship belts, following documented procedures and quality standards, while coordinating with teammates to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Ability to independently and safely use hand tools and light equipment (presses, cutters, grinders, etc.).
• Accurately read tape measures (imperial and metric preferred).
• Mechanical background or hands-on fabrication experience preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays, and odd hours on request.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs independently.
• Maintain professional appearance and communicate with customers.
• Must have valid driver's license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate conveyor belting to order using hand tools and light equipment.
• Follow work instructions and fabrication techniques.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Perform shipping and receiving to ensure on-time delivery.
• Communicate effectively with superiors and peers to meet company goals.
• Operate forklift for fabrication, shipping and receiving.
