Job summary

Forbo Movement Systems in Englewood, NJ is seeking a dependable Conveyor Belt Fabricator to fabricate, install, and repair lightweight conveyor belts using hand tools and light equipment. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and on-time delivery through Shop and Field Service tasks.

Responsibilities include measuring, cutting, splicing, and inspecting belts, with periodic onsite work and possible overnight travel.

Qualifications

Ability to independently and safely use and/or operate necessary tools and equipment (hand tools, presses, cutters, grinders, etc.)
Accurately read tape measure (imperial and metric preferred)
Mechanical background or hands-on/fabrication type related experience (preferred)
Available for occasional overnight travel and to work overtime, holidays, and/or odd hours upon request without prior notice
Must be able to independently perform occasional lifting of up to 75 lbs.
Must maintain a professional personal appearance and be able to communicate with customers
Must have valid driver's license and good driving record
Desire to learn
Basic computer skills
Basic math skills

Responsibilities

Fabricate custom conveyor belting to orders to meet specific needs.
Inspect/quality check finished products to ensure they meet Forbo quality standards.
Perform Shipping and Receiving of belts and related products to ensure on-time delivery.
Occasionally install and splice conveyor belts onsite with potential overnight travel.
