Job summary

Smurfit WestRock in Murfreesboro, TN, seeks a Converting Production Manager to lead direct reports and coordinate manufacturing activities. You will set team objectives and ensure they are met, focusing on production volume, quality, safety, inventory, and customer satisfaction while adhering to budgets.

You will drive continuous improvement, revise schedules as needed, analyze production data, and partner with leadership to prevent delays and improve product quality.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years supervisory experience in corrugated/converting industries.
• Demonstrates ability to lead teams, improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Proficient in MS Office suite and some plant software.
• Shows commitment to Lean and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage direct reports and coordinate manufacturing activities to meet production goals.
• Set objectives for the team and ensure timely completion of safety, quality, and budget targets.
• Review production data (OEE, downtime, waste) to identify root causes and drive improvements.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop methods that prevent production delays and improve customer satisfaction.
• Maintain union relations and ensure compliance with collective bargaining terms.
