Job summary

Pratt is seeking a Utility to operate converting machines, perform setup, and assist with maintenance and quality control. The role requires adherence to safety standards and the production schedule in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include die setup, machine operation, supervision of related staff, and timely reporting. Prior corrugated industry experience is preferred; a Lift Truck Operator License may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior work experience in the corrugated industry (preferred).
• 6 months’ experience as a Flexo or DieCut Helper.
• 6 months’ experience in the Press and Finishing Departments.
• Ability to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy.
• Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
• May be required to maintain a Lift Truck Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Set-up rails, print, and die cut section on converting machine accurately.
• Inspect dies before and after run and perform repairs as needed.
• Ensure bolts for cutting dies are secured.
• Monitor box quality, including liner, warp, size, and print.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
• Train and assist team members on the machine.
• Cross-train on other machines.
• Complete reports: Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Quality Data.
• Submit maintenance work orders and maintain equipment.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements.
