Job summary

Itape in Blythewood, SC is seeking a Machine Operator in the Converting department. The Operator ensures safe and productive running of the line with the help of teammates, and produces quality products per specifications.

You will assist maintenance, perform minor PM, handle forklift and material movement, manage line checks, and adhere to IPS and quality checklists while meeting hourly targets. This role requires basic computer skills, use of measurement tools, and ability to lift up to 60

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in safety programs.
• Collaborate with maintenance on line issues and perform minor PM.
• Operate forklift and coordinate with Material Handler to move materials.
• Lift and palletize products up to 60 lbs as needed.
• Maintain line pallets and materials; complete daily checklists.
• Adhere to IPS process and quality checklists to ensure flawless output.
• Work as part of a team to meet hourly line targets; may run line solo at times.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills and use measurement tools.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment; perform related tasks as directed.

Position Description

Title: Machine Operator

Department: Converting

Location: Blythewood, SC

Immediate Supervisor: Manufacturing Manager

Status: Hourly

Position Purpose: The Operator is responsible for the safe & productive running of their line. This is accomplished

with the assistance of other Operators. They ensure that quality products are made in accordance with

specifications in a safe & productive manner.

Principle Accountabilities

1. Follows all Safety Rules. Participates in monthly 100% Safety Participation Program.
2. Works with maintenance on maintenance issues related to the performance of the line. Performs mechanical adjustments as required. Performs minor PM work as required. Assists with Work Orders.
3. Uses forklift & works with Material Handler to move product & supplies.
4. Will at times be required to lift & palletize products.Weights could be as high as 60 lbs.
5. Maintains pallet counts and raw materials for the line.
6. Completes the daily check lists for the line.
7. Actively participates and adheres to the IPS process.
8. Adheres to & completes quality checklists to make sure there are no flaws in a product
9. Works in a team to keep the line running productively while meeting hourly targets. Will run the line alone at times when required.
10. Must have basic computer skills or experience with computerized equipment.
11. Must have a basic understandingon using measurement tools.
12. Ensures housekeeping is maintained for a clean & safe work environment.
13. Related tasks as requested by department Lead, Process Lead and/or department Manager.
