Columbus Blue Jackets are seeking an experienced facility operations supervisor to prepare Nationwide Arena for events including hockey games, concerts, and conventions. You will lead a conversion crew and coordinate with departments to meet client needs, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
The role requires 5+ years of arena experience, strong leadership, and ability to manage up to 30 staff. Forklift operation and heavy equipment familiarity are preferred.

Manages part-time conversion crew and temporary labor and is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of employees. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Associate degree in facility management or related field; 5+ years of related experience and/or training with arena conversions; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience required. Must be able to demonstrate ability to operate a forklift and other industrial equipment related to building management including but not limited to scissor lifts, skid steers, drills, saws, etc. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines. Must work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedules. Must be able to demonstrate strong and effective problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal, written, problem solving, and interpersonal skills required. Must have the ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Previous experience working in a hockey arena required. Experience with StageRight brand staging and accessories preferred. Experience operating and maintaining retractable seating units preferred.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge in Microsoft Office software.
