Job Description

Principal Manufacturing is seeking a Conventional/Finblank Press Operator in Broadview, IL. We are a leader in fineblanking, conventional stamping, and plastic injection molding. The Press Operator will be responsible for setting up and operating conventional/fineblank stamping equipment, loading and unloading parts, maintaining equipment, inspecting parts for defects, operating and adjusting machinery, and reporting production data.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload parts on machinery; maintain and clean equipment according to company standards.
• Examine parts to identify defects and ensure quality, including first piece inspection.
• Operate and adjust equipment to follow work procedures.
• Report production information accurately to supervisors and in the ERP system (Plex).
• Maintain production within scheduled timeframes while following work instructions.
• Implement lean concepts and seek continuous improvement.
• In the absence of the material handler, load and unload coils for production.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
• Understanding of tools and instructions to ensure quality.
• Basic mathematical skills and computer proficiency.
• Attention to detail.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.
