The Convention Sales Manager promotes Oklahoma City as a premier location for conventions, meetings, exhibitions, and trade shows to various markets, including state, regional, national, and international levels, with a focus on the Central and Midwest regions. The role involves managing assigned markets, territories, and vertical markets as designated by the Director of Convention Sales.

Successful Candidates Must Have:

  • Minimum three years of hospitality industry sales experience or related experience (preferred).
  • Skills in account management, direct sales, sales presentations (oral and written), and trade show exhibiting.
  • Exceptional sales presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel independently; reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required. Extensive travel may be necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and PCs.
  • Understanding of the hospitality/tourism industry; experience with DMO software is a plus.
  • Self-motivated and proactive individuals will succeed best.
  • Ability to develop and write effective reports and business correspondence.
