Job description

**THE JOB:**

It is the responsibility of the Conference Services Houseperson to set-up, break down and maintain the overall cleanliness of the banquet and convention space while providing excellent guest service.

**DAY-TO-DAY:**

+ Set-up banquet, convention and meeting spaces for functions including, but not limited to, tables, chairs, staging, dance floors, linen, water, and glassware

+ Maintain overall cleanliness and presentation of banquet, convention and meeting spaces including, but not limited to, vacuuming, trash and linen removal

+ Coordinate proper storage of equipment and props used in the operation of the facility

+ Assist in guest services such as clearing and resetting tables and breaking down room set-ups during buffet and functions

+ Report, to supervisory personnel, any and all items that need repair or replacement

+ Respond effectively to guest inquiries and provide excellent guest service

+ Perform other job-related duties as requested

+ Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

+ Able to multi-task several activities and duties simultaneously

+ Able to function in a fast-paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines

+ Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays
