Job summary

Tally Personnel, LLC is seeking a Conventional Mandrel Helper II to support welding and fabrication teams in a Houston shop. The role requires reading engineering prints, handling hand and power tools, and following safety procedures.

You will operate grinders, sandblast, hydrostatic tests, and inspect materials, while maintaining clean work areas and meeting production goals. Prior 2 years in an industrial setting preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years related industrial experience preferred.
• Ability to read engineering prints and follow technical instructions.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and accurately.
• Good communication skills for instructions and reporting.
• Willingness to lift up to 50 lb and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production and efficiency goals per Shop Supervisors directives.
• Grind using hand tools and stationary grinders; sandblast as needed.
• Operate hydrostatic test unit safely and productively.
• Inspect materials to be welded and ensure quality standards.
• Keep work area clean and compliant with safety policies.
• May assist in training new employees in proper mechanical techniques.
