The Rapid Group in White Plains, NY is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain a broad range of industrial control systems, motors, and electrical equipment for municipal, commercial, and industrial customers.

This onsite role requires strong reading of schematics, hands-on field work, and a safety-first mindset. You will join AC Furia as part of a team that values reliability, problem-solving, and customer service in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in controls or electrical technician roles.
• Strong knowledge of industrial motors, motor controls, and electrical distribution.
• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, ATS, SCADA, and instrumentation preferred.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting of electrical and control systems.
• Certifications in electrical, instrumentation, or controls preferred.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing/transport/infrastructure/municipal environments is a plus.
• Ability to lift equipment and work in field environments.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
• Attention to detail and safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position Summary

AC Furia is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team in White Plains, NY. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of industrial control systems, motors, and electrical equipment for commercial, industrial, transportation, and municipal customers

Qualifications

• 35 years of experience in a Controls Technician, Electrical Technician, Industrial Electrician, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial motors, motor controls, and electrical distribution systems.

Experience with PLCs, VFDs, ATS systems, SCADA systems, and industrial instrumentation preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control drawings.
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to electrical and control systems.
• Electrical, instrumentation, or controls certifications preferred.
• Experience in industrial manufacturing, transportation, infrastructure, or municipal environments is a plus.
• Ability to lift equipment, stand for extended periods, and work in field environments.
• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problemsolving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $40.00 $45.00 per hour
• Overtime opportunities available
• Company vehicle may be provided based on role requirements and experience

Work Conditions / Schedule

• FullTime
• Onsite / FieldBased Position
• Typical Schedule: Monday Friday, 7:00 AM 4:30 PM
• Overtime and occasional emergency response work may be required based on customer needs
• Local travel throughout New York City, the five boroughs, and surrounding metropolitan areas as required
