Dandy is hiring an experienced Controls Technician to join our rapidly growing, venture-backed manufacturer in Provo, Utah. You will oversee the maintenance and functionality of automation equipment controls and other control systems as needed to keep production running smoothly.

You will work with automation engineers to implement programs, perform calibration and testing, and install software required for equipment operations.

About the Role

Dandy is hiring an experienced Controls Technician to join our rapidly growing venture‑backed company. In this role, you’ll oversee the maintenance and functionality of automation equipment controls and other controls systems as needed. This is an opportunity to work with custom, cutting‑edge automation technology in a manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Work with automation engineers to create and implement programs and processes to optimize equipment efficiency.
• Manage and perform equipment calibration, repairs, preventive maintenance, and testing.
• Perform basic programming and installation of new and existing software required for equipment operations.
• Work within the SCADA system, look for opportunities for continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

Hirring for 12‑hr. shifts: Night shift (6pm‑6am Sunday‑Tues rotating shift) and Day shift (6am‑6pm Wed‑Sat rotating shift).

• 1+ years of experience as a controls technician/engineer.
• Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software systems; proficiency with hand and precision tools and computer usage.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work effectively in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Understanding of basic safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work within a confined space, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks for multiple hours/day.
• Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed to support production goals and equipment shutdowns.
• A self‑driven individual who can work under minimal supervision.
• A curious mind with a desire to “get to the bottom” of issues and improvement opportunities.
• Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language.

Bonus Points For

• Experience with Siemens controls.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in a maintenance or controls role.
