Job summary

AMERICAN SpiralWeld Pipe Company, LLC is seeking a Controls Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve industrial control systems in steel pipe production. You will diagnose faults in PLC, HMI, drive, and robot software and maintain backups.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, equipment commissioning, and supporting production during breakdowns, with a focus on safety and reliability in a heavy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical equivalent in electrical/electronics/automation.
• 3–5 years industrial controls and electrical troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and industrial networks required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults in PLCs, HMIs, drives, and robots.
• Maintain backups of PLC, HMI, drive, and robot programs.
• Support SCADA, MES, and SPC data collection from plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and specify electrical and control systems during maintenance.
• Lead root-cause analysis and document findings in CMMS.
