Job summary

HiFyve in Columbus, OH is hiring a Controls Technician to support production with electrical and automation troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of equipment.

The role requires reading schematics, performing preventative/ reactive maintenance, and installing control panels. 2nd shift is 2:00 PM–10:30 PM with mandatory overtime and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 1–2+ years of related experience.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and controls knowledge.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automation systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Support PLC and robot programming/troubleshooting.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on equipment.
• Install and modify control panels, relays, and electrical systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
• Support equipment upgrades, installations, and improvement projects.
• Maintain documentation and ensure system updates are captured.
• Follow all safety procedures including LOTO and electrical standards.

Pay: $34–$36/hr + $0.50/hr shift differential

Shift: 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM (Mon–Fri + mandatory OT)

About the Role

This role supports plant operations through electrical and automation troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production equipment.

Job Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Support PLC and robot programming/troubleshooting
