Job summary
Aerotek is hiring a Controls Technician for a manufacturing facility in Jonesboro, AR. This contract-to-hire role focuses on industrial automation, Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, drives, and instrumentation to support high-speed production and safety compliance.
The successful candidate will troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize control systems, lead continuous improvement efforts, and collaborate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve OEE and reliability.
Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Automation or related field.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell platforms and PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, SCADA interfaces, and machine control systems.
- Diagnose and resolve PLC logic, instrumentation, sensor, actuator, safety circuit, and HMI faults to minimize downtime.
- Maintain backups of automation programs, HMI applications, drive parameters, and critical controls documentation.
