Job summary

Kerry seeks a Maintenance Controls Technician for 1st shift in Byesville, OH. You will keep automated production equipment running safely and reliably, troubleshoot PLC-controlled machinery, and support electrical and automation systems in a fast-paced beverage plant.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Automation or related field.
3+ years of industrial maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, or PLC controls experience.
Experience in beverage, food manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, or high-speed packaging preferred.
Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, ladder logic, HMI systems, and PLC platforms.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot PLC-controlled manufacturing, filling, packaging, and material handling equipment.
Diagnose automation, electrical, and control system issues across motors, drives, sensors, relays, and panels.
Support PLC program changes, ladder logic troubleshooting, HMI systems, industrial networking, and communications.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to improve uptime, equipment reliability, MTTR, production efficiency, and OEE.
Document repairs, modifications, and maintenance activity in CMMS while following LOTO, safety, and quality standards.
